We have completed a £1.3m Access for All project at Formby Station for Merseyrail. The project included 2 new 16 person Ambulant Disabled compliant passenger lifts along with stationwide / site improvements, platform enhancement and landscaping works. The design was intended to respect the original 1912 station architecture, and has been very well received by the local Community, Merseyrail and Network Rail. The station remained fully operational throughout the site process, and the rail service was unaffected.
